Day 14-15: Berry Galette

So day 14 was not remarkable in any way. Without a plan for celebration, the day passed by as most do. A little ho hum.

On Friday, Day 15, I started the day with a new bootcamp class in Kirkwood Park. We did a combination or strength training and cardio in the amphitheater. Being outdoors was great. Doing jump squats up and down the steps was brutal.

Many of the women in the class were older than I am, and they looked very fit. I have become much more aware of a lot of women in their 40's who are in amazingly good shape. I want to be one of those women!

The only thing in my way is me. And a berry gallette.

Which brings me to the end of the day. Chad had a rough day, so I made him one of his favorite dinners: grilled ribeye, arugula salad with lemon and parmesan. And because we had a bunch of extra berries, I also made a berry gallette.

You cannot go wrong with this dessert. Unless you want to look fantastic after 40. Then it's all wrong.
